From class competitions to community collaboration; from personal report cards to collective result; Navjyoti Bal (Child) and Yuva (Youth) Gurukuls are a value-based movement, both in the urban and rural programs of the organization.
Navjyoti Bal (Child)/Yuva (Youth) Gurukul encourages inclusive community and social leadership based on the spirit of joyful and versatile learning and sharing.
Genesis of the Program
Gurukul is a result of the burning desire within the organization to hasten the process of reaching out to education to those children who are untouched by the benefits of 3S Model. This movement was initiated on November 16, 2013.
The project is on-going in Bawana resettlement colony located in North-west part of Delhi, 20 villages and 31 colonies located in and around Karala, in North-west part of Delhi and in 10 villages of Sohna block, Haryana.
This program is housed in urban and rural areas whose approx. child population is about 100000. Therefore, the reach of the students of Gurukul is incremental by the day since inception of the program.
Yoga Performance: Navjyoti Bal Gurukul girls rocked the stage with their power packed yoga performance on the occasion of National Girl Child Day at Delhi Technological University (DTU). The event was organized by the Office of the District Magistrate (North), Alipur, Delhi. Mahabali Satpal Singh, Padam Bhushan & Padamshree Awardee appreciated the performance of the students.
Rocksport Challenge 2017: Navjyoti India Foundation participated in the Rocksport Challenge 2017– a carnival of adventure, race and sports on January 14 and January 15, 2017. Six students of Bal Gurukul program participated in an open race of 3 kms.
