Introduction

The 85-hour Tally Prime course under Project TechConnect equips participants with essential accounting and financial management skills using Tally software. The course begins with an introduction to Tally, covering basic concepts, installation, and navigation. Participants then delve into mastering transactions, learning to create vouchers, record daily transactions, manage bank operations, stock groups, currencies, godowns, and backups.

Advanced features include stock batches with expiry dates, interest calculation, cost centres, payroll management, budgeting, and tracking stock costs. Reporting modules train learners to generate reports, print vouchers, and manage data import/export and banking features. The course concludes with a focus on taxation, including GST, SGST, IGST, TDS, TCS, VAT, Excise Duty, and Service Tax. This comprehensive program prepares learners for professional roles in accounting and finance.

Module 1 Introduction to Tally

Basic concepts; Installing Tally and understanding the operating environment

Creating vouchers in Tally; Record daily business transactions; Record deposits and withdrawals in bank; Understanding Stock groups and categories; Maintaining multiple units of stock (quintal, ton, and dozen); Maintaining multiple Currencies; Maintaining multiple godowns; Taking backups and restoring data; Using discounts

Placement Support Details

To enhance employability after course completion, students receive career counseling, training, internships, and expert-led sessions totaling 30 hours. Additionally, an industry exposure visit is organized to familiarize students with workplace culture and equip them with the skills and confidence needed to thrive in a professional environment.

Certification Details

We offer two types of certifications under this course: Dell Certification and Participation Certification.

Dell Certification


To receive a Dell Certification, students must pass a final exam. On passing, a hard copy certificate will be issued and will include the student's name, course completed, location where the course was taken, course duration, and the final grade achieved.

Students who either do not take the final exam or do not pass but maintain at least 40% attendance will be awarded a Participation Certification.

Participation Certification


A hard copy certificate will be issued and will include the student's name, guardian's name, enrolment number, course participated in, and course duration.
