Introduction

The 200-hour Beauty & Grooming course under Navjyoti India Foundation’s Skill Upgradation Program offers comprehensive training in personal care, grooming, and professional beauty techniques. The program begins with skin care, covering personal hygiene, sterilization, skin types, disorders, and treatments like facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing, and threading. Advanced modules introduce body and head massages, paraffin treatments, and Arabic henna.

Hair care training includes trichology, shampooing, styling techniques (braids, buns, blow-drying), basic and advanced haircuts, colouring, highlights, and hydra treatments. The makeup module provides in-depth knowledge of products, skin undertones, and techniques for daytime, evening, casual, event, and bridal looks. This course equips participants with the skills needed for careers in the beauty and grooming industry.

Module 1 Skin - Personal grooming and hygiene

Sterilisation and sanitisation; Function and types of skin; Skin disorders and PH levels; Skin structure; Threading; Normal Waxing; Cream bleach; Normal pedicure; Normal manicure; Facials; Massage steps; Mehndi design and application

Body massage; Head massage; Paraffin wax pedicure and manicure; Arabic henna application

Trichology; Hair Disorders; Shampooing, Conditioning, and Blow drying; Hot roller setting; Crimping, Tong rods, and Ironing; Hair styling (Crown management, Braids, Buns); Hair cuts (Straight, U, and Step); Hair colour

Hair styling (Interlocking, Double French, Flora foundation, Bridal); Hair cuts (Multi steps, Feather, Blunt, Reverse step); Hair highlights; Hydra hair treatment

Product knowledge; Skin undertones; Application; Daytime and Evening makeup; Casual and event makeup; Bridal makeup

Practical Experience Support

Students are provided with 28 hours of internship and project work to provide practical experience and improve their confidence.

Certification Details

We offer two types of certifications under this course: Completion Certificate
and Participation Certification.

Completion Certificate


To receive a Completion Certificate, students must pass a final exam. On passing, a hard copy certificate will be issued and will include the student's name, guardian's name, enrolment number, course completed, and course duration.

Students who either do not take the final exam or do not pass but maintain at least 40% attendance will be awarded a Participation Certification.

Participation Certification


A hard copy certificate will be issued and will include the student's name, guardian's name, enrolment number, course participated in, and course duration.
