Introduction

The 40-hour English Speaking Course under Navjyoti India Foundation’s Skill Upgradation Program aims to build participants’ confidence in English communication. The program begins with greetings, introductions, and the basics of pronouns, articles, prepositions, and determiners. It progresses to sentence structure, vocabulary, and distinctions between singular/plural and different persons (1st, 2nd, 3rd). The course also emphasizes the use of WH-questions, parts of speech, and tenses, alongside an introduction to modals

Practical modules include conversations and role plays, such as self-introduction, telephonic discussions, shopping, and narrating experiences. Vocabulary development focuses on synonyms, antonyms, and figurative speech, while writing skills cover emails, letters, essays, and reports. Pronunciation practice and listening and reading activities, like paraphrasing news and stories, ensure holistic development in English proficiency for both personal and professional use.
