Learning is the real earning

Bhola Ram, who is 50 years old, works as the area manager for Bikaner Confectionary. His family consists of his wife, who is a homemaker, his two sons and a daughter who are in school and he leads a comfortable life with them in Delhi.

Despite completing a B.Sc. and being an excellent student during his school and college days, he has had no exposure to computers. A diligent person that he is, he never abandons his sedulous efforts of consistently working on his self-development to remain in his current job.

Realizing that it was quite difficult for someone like him to remain in the company especially when there were plenty of skilled young workforce available, he enrolled in a few courses on computers in order to ensure his retention at the company. Initially, he was unable to learn and had a lot of hesitation but when the majority of the work was transferred to computers since the pandemic, the need to learn computers became indispensable.

Having learnt about the course through St Foundation, he enrolled in the digital literacy course and for the first time, he felt that the concepts made sense to him and now these concepts are helping him out with the sales. He keeps track of his clients’ and customers’ data in excel reports and can communicate easily with them through email. This course has helped him complete his work within a few hours and saves a great deal of time.

It takes confidence and courage to talk about your dreams and even more to pursue them. Bhola Ram’s unflinching determination and enthusiasm for the course is such that he plans to take the Excel advanced course from Navjyoti India Foundation as well which will not only enhance his skills further but also allow him to earn a good salary.
