For me, it was most heartening to learn how the initial work of social welfare began with the establishment of: Nasha-Mukti Kendra for Drug De-Addiction Programs. These programs were not only for poor kids from the streets, or, for those who came from broken homes.

For me, the most heartening aspect was to learn how this journey began with the establishment of the Nasha-Mukti Kendra, where drug addicts were treated with counselling and care instead of punishment. Thousands of lives, including those of professionals like engineers and doctors, were transformed here through this visionary approach by Dr. Kiran Bedi.
I also had the privilege of spending time with the staff and students during a Republic Day celebration, hoisting the national flag, and meeting Dr. Kiran Bedi, Ujala Bedi, and the dedicated team members. Interacting with rural women beneficiaries and hearing their stories was truly inspiring.
Navjyoti India Foundation has achieved so much and continues to make a lasting difference. It truly shines — seeing is believing!
